Personal Fitness Pools Allow Members Their Own Lap Lane
When you think of your local fitness club you think, hard bodies, free weights and exercise machines; treadmills for running, Stairmasters climbing, and now the Fastlane® for simulated open water swimming. Late last year New York headquartered Equinox Fitness Clubs installed two Fastlane’s, compact swimming machines, in their club at 250 East 54th Street. Now members can swim endlessly against an adjustable current without the hassle, wait time and flip turns of a traditional 25 yard pool. “Equinox has gained its popularity by offering innovative fitness solutions to its customers, offering the Fastlane for swimming was a logical choice,” says Rob Pahlavan, Area Manager for Equinox.
The Fastlane is a counter-current swimming and water exercise machine that turns a typical backyard swimming pool into an Endless Pool®. The Fastlane features an adjustable current that allows you to swim or exercise in place. The current is broad and deep, and is suitable to every swimming ability and fitness need. The entire family will have fun swimming and playing in the Fastlane. “We’re thrilled to be working with Equinox Fitness, they embody the inventive spirit we put in to all our swimming products,” Mark Langan, Marketing Director of Endless Pools.
