Grant funds will support fighting homelessness in Endless Pools’ hometown of Philadelphia
Aston, PA. – Back on My Feet is pleased to announce that it has received a $15,000 grant from Endless Pools®. The non-profit organization combats homelessness in 13 U.S. cities including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, near Endless Pools' international headquarters. Endless Pools is part of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Fortune 500 company, Masco Corporation.
The grant comes from Masco’s Million Differences campaign, an initiative in which Masco Corporation, through its business units, is allocating $1,000,000 of its 2019 philanthropic funding to support organizations across the country that are working to break down barriers to diversity and inclusion in America’s corporate workforce through education or career resources. Endless Pools chose Back on my Feet because of their mission to combat homelessness through the power of running, community support, and essential employment and housing resources.
The grant will support Back on My Feet's Workforce Development initiative through its Philadelphia chapter. Through corporate partnerships, the non-profit organization provides its members with the necessary trainings and certifications to open up new opportunities in the job market.
"We're honored to support the extraordinary work that the Back on My Feet team has been doing," said Darren Pearse, Endless Pools' General Manager. "Having personally gone on runs with Back on My Feet members, I've seen firsthand the passion and positivity that they can bring to the workforce once they're given the necessary preparation and opportunity."
Pearse and other Endless Pools executives will be in attendance at 12th Annual Stroehmann Bakeries Back on My Feet Gala, presented by The Marriott Worldwide Business Council. The event, which encourages cocktail attire with running shoes, will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
